Marihuana

Marihuana Grow Operations
Marihuana grow operations in houses and other dwellings, often referred to as grow houses or grow ops, can result in severe mould growth as well as electrical and structural damage. The extent of this damage can be significant and pose a serious risk to individuals who may purchase and live in these houses in future.

Many health inspection agencies will issue orders deeming dwellings discovered to have marihuana grow operations in them to be unfit for human habitation until the conditions are remediated.

Some Police Service and Health Inspection Departments in Canada disclose the locations of grow houses that have been discovered and dismantled. In many cases, this information continues to be available even after remediation.
